INAEL Electrical Systems leads a national R + D + i project related to infrastructures for Electric Vehicles and the Smart Grid
INAEL Electrical Systems, a Toledo-based company, leads the CASCADA project, recently approved and funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN). The project addresses the development of key equipment to allow the consolidation of the Smart Electricity Grid as well as the massive deployment of the Electric Vehicle. Gas Natural Fenosa also participates in the project, as well as several leading research institutions worldwide: the National Microelectronics Center, the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Seville, and the Department of Photocatalysis of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. INAEL chairs the Spanish Electric Vehicle Association, and its commitment to research and innovation has resulted in the recent concession, by the MICINN, of three large national R & D & I projects led by INAEL.
