SYNTHESIS

Synthesis proceeds under very mild conditions and using simple, inexpensive equipment, allowing for easy mass-production. INAEL expects to be capable of producing 100 Tm/year of these particles from 2013.

 

SAMPLE CRYSTALLINITY

High homogeneity and high crystallinity particles are obtained. Both doped and un-doped particles show a well-defined, rounded, spherical morphology.

Photocatalysts were tested in phenol degradation. The figure shows the apparent rate constants for the degradation of phenol (kPh) with the different catalysts.

The values of kPh for the new family of photocatalysts display relebvant variations with synthesis conditions.

__________The resulting kPh for some of the catalyst are 10-12 times greater than that of most commercial photocatalysts.
